Too many flood providers today, in an effort to cut costs, over-automate the research process which will result in inaccurate determinations and a lack of customer service.
Unlike other flood vendors, AFR has not taken the researcher out of the determination process. AFR combines the speed provided by technology with the experience and logic of Certified Floodplain Managers and floodplain researchers, generating rapid results without sacrificing accuracy.
On determinations where geocoding alone cannot accurately complete an instant determination, AFR researchers use our highly sophisticated Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping program to access the correct flood mapping resources instantaneously and then use their expertise to quickly complete the determination.
Coverage
Life of Loan
AFR does the monitoring for you! We'll notify the lender or servicer of all status changes resulting from FEMA map revisions or updates, as well as any Community Participation status changes. Our notification will include an overview stating why the certificate was issued, along with the revised certificate showing both the revised and original dates.
One Time
If you only need a one-off flood determination, we'll take care of it. One Time coverage will entitle the lender to current flood information at time of request.
Portfolio Review Services
Tracking Services
If AFR didn’t provide the original flood zone determination, we can still support your monitoring needs. Our portfolio monitoring service keeps you covered by tracking FEMA Map Revisions, updates, and Community Status changes that may impact your collateral. Once we receive your loan data, we’ll begin actively monitoring and will promptly issue a Life of Loan coverage certificate whenever a change occur, helping you stay ahead of risk.
Portfolio Review
If you believe certain loans in your existing portfolio may be at risk, AFR can complete a Certificate of Determination for each loan you submit for review. You have the flexibility to choose between Life of Loan coverage for ongoing monitoring or One-Time coverage for a point-in-time assessment—whichever best aligns with your risk management strategy.
Delivery & Ordering
AFR’s technology allows for multiple platforms to efficiently order your flood zone determinations, either via our website or the Loan Origination Software Integration (LOS) provider of your choice.
